Discouragement and its Dangers.

Your perception of things will be distorted by discouragement. When you are discouraged, you will misunderstand situations and circumstances around you. Nothing affects the sight of your spiritual clarity like the presence of discouragement in your heart. The feeling of discouragement will change your dream. Your strength in Christ will be robbed by discouragement. Discouragement is a cancer of the spirit that kills believers gently. In the midst of discouragement, your perspective on life will suddenly change. It is discouragement that causes you to doubt God’s promises. Even if someone plans to do the right thing, discouragement can lead them astray. In order to control your actions, you must not allow discouragement to control you. A discouraged person is likely to give up. Whenever a believer feels discouraged, the devil makes them feel that their service to God is pointless.  Galatians 6:9

What can you do when you feel discouraged?

Step one be encouraged in the Lord and believe in yourself. It is important not to become too dependent on others for encouragement. Take scriptures and speak them over your situation. It is powerful to confess the truth in the midst of trials. Say things like “I’m sure things will get better” or “I can see things changing.”. “I’m sure this won’t be the end of my life.”. Be sure to speak to your spirit at all times. God’s word will give you hope. The path to greatness is not stumbled upon by accident; greatness is provoked by action and speech. It is imperative that you constantly speak about what you wish to see happen in your life. In the midst of trials, you must maintain the right confession. You are more susceptible to hearing from evil spirits when you are discouraged.

The second thing you should do is surround yourself with encouragers. It is important to be careful with your friends in order to be successful in life. People who kill dreams should block them, delete them, and run from them. It is essential to surround yourself with encouraging people. Your dream-believing friends. Discouragers are not welcome. A person who is negative toward living should be avoided. Those who discourage your God-given mission should be avoided.

The third step is to pursue the prophetic. Inspirational words received from the Holy Spirit. Prophecy can encourage a believer as he/she passes through life’s challenges. The power of prophecy brings hope and strength (1 Corinthians 14:3). By prophecy, you become conscious that God knows what you are going through. Prophecy proves that God has not abandoned you. A God-given prophecy creates a glorifying atmosphere. Direction is given by prophecy.

Focusing on your assignment is the fourth step. You must not let anything distract you from the vision and dream that God has given you. Divorce is not the intention of anyone who gets married. Your assignment can be distracted by discouragement. Focus is the key to success.

Finally, pray for strength. Make sure your prayer is specific. When you pray sincere prayers, God will anoint your spirit with power. Make it a habit to pray for strength every day. Don’t let your disappointment stop you from praying. I pray that the Lord will give me strength. Don’t let your life come to a point where you don’t pray. When a believer can no longer pray, he is at the height of discouragement. When you pray for something and it doesn’t come, pray for the strength to keep waiting
