The Secret of Answered Prayers.

John 11:41-42

Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.”

In the place of prayer, the greatest assurance is the confidence that God always hears our prayers.

The proof that you are serving a living God is that He answers your prayer. The question is does God answer your prayer? The true might of your God is demonstrated in your life after prayer. It is the ability to save that is the primary function of any deity we refer to as God. A major function of God is to save people. The glory of prayer is not the hours spent praying, but it is the intervention it brings from heaven. Take stock of your life and see what your prayers have accomplished. God is compelled to act in a man’s behalf by his prayer. Is there a reason why we pray so much and don’t see God when we pray? There have been many believers who have fasted and prayed without seeing God. There have been some 70 days of fasting and prayer, some 40 days of fasting and prayer, some 21 days of fasting and prayer without any results. 

Here are some reasons why prayer is important.

The only way to subject the flesh to the spirit’s desires is through prayer.

It is through prayer that the Holy Spirit exercises authority over your flesh.

Prayer will bring believers emotion under the authority of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer is the technology of the spirit that bring the reality of heaven on earth.

Spirituality is superimposed on natural reality through prayer.

The act of praying is a divine strategy for provoking God’s involvement in men’s affairs.

The act of praying invites God to come into your life.

Committing to prayer is the secret of any believer’s greatness and lifting.

In God’s kingdom, there is no believer who rises without prayer.

(Hebrew 4:14). Prayer is the avenue through which believers can lay hold of God’s grace.

Help is provided by prayer during prayer times.

The moment you discover a drop in your prayer life, you are under satanic surveillance.

A person who prays makes things happen, but a person who doesn’t pray lets things happen.

Prayer is the only way to bring the events of your life under the control of the Holy Spirit.

In the kingdom of God the experience of every promise thrives on your knowledge of spiritual truth.

The purpose of prayer is for something to happen to you in the physical realm. If you are praying and nothing happens, it’s only a matter of time before you become discouraged.

Ignorance is what empowers the devil to oppress, harass, and harass believers.

Prayer is the response of every believer to every threat in this world. James 5:13.

There is nothing beyond prayer. No matter how long it takes.

 What is the secret to answered prayer

Trust God is the first thing you must do. Jeremiah 17:5, 1 Chronicles 5:19-20, 2 Corinthians 1:10Trust is the first secret to answered prayer. God will check our hearts before answering our prayers. Where there is trust, there is no fear or doubt, so you must not pray with fear and doubt. Fear is a sign that we don’t trust God. Unconditional trust in God. When I trust in God, I know that he can and will do it for me. Ensure that your mouth and heart are speaking the same language. In the realm of the spirit the voice of your heart is louder than the voice of your mouth.

Purity of motive is the second secret to answered prayer. Matthew 5:8. James 4:3. Take a look at your heart and ask yourself why you are asking. What are your motivations? Anytime your purpose for asking God something is to prove a point to men you cannot attract the attention of God. Hannah’s prayer was only answered the day her intentions changed, remember it was the same prayer. Sometimes our prayer points are right, but our motives are wrong. Those prayers that are motivated by selfish desires cannot be answered by God. If you want to pray for an answer in your heart pray so that God’s will can be fulfilled. If you are asking for marriage, your motive must be because God promises marriage in His word. When you pray and don’t see results, stop praying and check your motives. Your prayer can be stopped by bitterness.

The third secret to answered prayer is to ask according to God’s will. 1 John 5:14. It is the scriptures that reveal God’s will. When you pray, you pray according to what God has said. Keep your imagination at bay when you pray. One of the greatest revelations in life is discovering what God’s will is for one’s life. Pray in accordance with God’s purpose for your life. There is no higher will than God’s for you. If a Christian is unaware of divine purpose, he will struggle to live in God’s purpose. When God’s will is fulfilled, fulfilment comes. It is a joy to be in God’s will. When you show hatred for a phase of your life that is God’s will, you are denying yourself the benefits of that phase. When a Christian is in the will of God he lives under the bill of God. It may not be what you want, but it is what God wants. I pray that God will guide your steps into His will for your life.

The fourth secret to answered prayer is to pray in the covenant of sonship. John 16:26-27. The covenant of sonship is one of the strengths of prayer. When you pray to God, you are not praying as a stranger, but as a son. The greatest joy a father can experience is making his children happy. It is a blessing to speak to the Father. John 17:23. You are loved by God. There is a difference between the boldness of sons and the fear of servants when they pray.

Finally, the law of consistency is the key to answered prayer. Luke 18:7, Luke 11:8. Keep praying persistently. God’s silence does not mean that He is absent.
