Hebrew 4:2
For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, [a]not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
Your response to the word of God you hears determines how it will influence you and what it will accomplish. Regardless of how powerful the word of God is, what happens depends on how you use it. Words from God are not powerless, but they are not profitable without faith. It is most unfortunate to know that many Christians today are not benefiting from the word. The purpose of God bringing His Word to men is to bring them into the experience of the reality of heaven on earth. There is more to God’s word than just excitement.
Isaiah 55:11
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
According to this verse, every word of God has a purpose. There is an assignment for the word. When you are not experiencing the reality of heaven on earth, then the word of God is unprofitable. The goal of any preaching you listen to is not only to make you feel happy, but to enable you to experience the truth of God’s word.
There is more to God’s word than just information; it is an informant designed to transform. To put it another way, the word of God is divine information for the purpose of transforming humans. As an example, if I say, “God can heal according to His Word”, but you are sick and you hear the word but are not healed, then the word is not profitable. It is important to understand that the word of God does not depend on God, but on the person receiving it. In order for the word to bear fruit in your life, you need to do something.
Those who commit their hearts to God’s word will reflect the grace and glory of God in their lives. Spiritual matters should not be taken lightly. Every word of God has a purpose, every word must impact your life in some way. Thus, the release of God’s word to a believer attracts the attention of the devil and demons. You can quench all the fiery darts of the enemy with the shield of faith, making Satan frightened of your faith (Ephesians 6:16). Nothing threatens the devil like the faith a believer has in his or her God. Whenever Satan prevails, it is a sign that faith has failed.
If the devil intends to attack a believer, his first move is to attack your faith. This is because he knows that your faith is connected to the word of God. As a result, he tries to corrupt your mind, so you don’t believe in the promises of God’s word. The reason why many believers are not receiving answers to their prayers is because they are calling without faith (Romans 10:14). Faith is the real problem, not God. It is your faith in God that will enable you to partake in the graciousness of His presence with you. Divine presence can only be accessed through faith. Miracles are performed by God and not by magic, because miracles require you to do something, you must combine words with faith. Prophecies are not fulfilled by waiting for them, they are fulfilled by working for their fulfilment. Let’s examine the purpose of God’s word.
What is the purpose of God’s Word.
The word makes . Whatever God wants you to become, it will come through your submission to His word, because all things are made through the word (John1 : 1-2). The word has the power to impact you.
In Christ, you are given an inheritance through the word (Acts 20:32). Answers to your prayers can be found in the word of God. Although God is touched by your pain, God is only moved by your faith. Life’s limitations are not caused by the circumstances around us, but by the forces within us. Faith allows a man to walk on water, Goliath to be brought down. Faith does not nullify the existence of a problem, but it negates its impact on a believer.
God’s word sustains. ( Hebrews 1:3). As you pray to get married and then become married, never forget that it is the word that will sustain your union. The word of God is the only substance capable of supporting every gift born of the spirit.
The name Jesus is the same, but the manifestation of that name depends on the knowledge of Christ’s ability in believers’ lives. It’s important to mix the word with faith. Taking action on the word is a proof of belief. Your faith is what will help you draw virtues from God’s presence. God’s realm is accessible through faith. In order to operate in God’s realm, you must believe. Whenever faith grasps the promises of God, they must be delivered. As you believe in the word of the Lord, your faith will be strengthened. According to Matthew 6:26-29, God’s work in your life is not based on His power, but on your faith.
Faith and the Word of God: How Do I Mix Them?
Firstly, you must say what God’s word says ( 2 Corinthians 4:13). It is important to say what God has said. You must confess according to God’s revelation of your life through your mouth. Be careful not to speak carelessly. In the realm of men, words are used for communication, but in the realm of the spirit, words are used for creation. The act of speaking is the act of creating. Therefore, confessing is the first step to possessing. What are you saying about your life? How do you call yourself? You should not call yourself by the things you see, but rather by what God has said. Our boldness in confession is not because of the anointing you carry but it is because of revelation in the word of God. No matter what happens, let your confessions change your condition, not the condition change your confessions. You need to pay attention to the way you speak. As long as you keep saying what God has said, you will see what He has said. Speak things like “ I will not fail”, “ I am successful” , “I am getting married”, “I am pregnant”,” “I am healed”. You must discipline your tongue in order to speak well.
A second way is by obeying what God has said (Luke 5:4-6). Promises must be confessed, but instructions must be obeyed. If you do what God says, you will see what He says.
It is my hope that these words have blessed and enlightened your spirit.
